DRAW NEAR TO GOD

DAILY GRACE TUES.10TH JAN, 2017 DRAW NEAR TO GOD JAMES 4:8 May you receive strength draw near unto Him, and God of all grace will cause you to know Him better this year than you did last year in Jesus name. "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded." Beloved, God wants you to know Him more personally this year. Hence, you must have a great desire and also set up plans on how best you desire to know God more this year. The major destiny decision to make is to draw near to God of all grace and if this is done, then God will automatically draw near to you. You can't be spiritual more than your level of knowledge of Him. No wonder! Apostle Paul desired to know Christ more intimately (Phil. 3:10). Knowing the God of all grace personally, intimately, and intelligently should be your passionate desire as a child of God. Let's briefly consider how you can draw near to know the Lord more? a.) Cleanse your hands: Be desperate to purge your hands from sins and a sinful habits that defiles (2 Cor. 6:17). Be separated from all unfriendly friends, evil friends and all that defiles. b.) Purify your heart: Let your heart be washed and sprinkle with the blood of Jesus Christ. He needs to use His blood to purify your heart, from evil thoughts, evil passions and desires, negative sins,etc. c.) Avoid double mindedness: This is because for you to know God, you must avoid doubt in your heart and especially as you relate with God. God is a Spirit and you need to groom your spirit to be measured up to His full nature and stature through faith in Him. Walk by faith, not by what you see and you must know that doubt and faith can not work together, and double minded person can not receive from Him nor have unhindered access to God of all grace. Therefore, to draw near to God; let your fear fizzle away, doubt and dismay also must flee and you must let faith rise up within your heart. All these you can do by faith. For without FAITH it is impossible to please God; for those who come to Him must BELIEVE that He is a rewarder of those who DILIGENTLY seek Him. One of the rewards that God gives to anyone who desires to know Him more is to first of all draw near to Him. Thus, revealing Himself to you more intimately. When you draw near to the Lord, He will draw closer to you, and sins, failure, and shame will draw away from you. I pray that God will reveal Himself to you this year as you desire Him more in Jesus' name. Enjoy your day!
