JUSTIFIED IN HIS NAME

DAILY GRACE WEDS.20TH JUNE, 2018. JUSTIFIED IN HIS NAME 1CORINTHIANS 6:11 "And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God." Some Christians seem to be fuzzy and uncertain about the nature of God of all grace and His purposes in creation and redemption. Many unbalanced preachers and teachers are still saying that Christ died so we would not drink, not smoke and not go to the theater anymore. And no wonder people are confused! No wonder they fall into the habit of backsliding frequently when such things are held up as the reason for the new birth. Christ Jesus was born of a virgin, suffered under Pontius Pilate, died on the cross and rose from the grave to make worshippers out of rebels and wicked heart. Perhaps, you are also taught that Christ died so that you can escape hell. While that's a great eternal benefit, it seems to me that we need to capture this truth properly—that the first reason Christ died is that you might become a true worshipper unto Him indeed. Beloved, Christ Jesus washed and sanctified you through His blood and ultimately you're justified by your faith in His name for you to become genuine worshipper in truth and spirit. Enjoy your day!!!
