DEFILE THE MAN

DAILY GRACE TUE.17TH JULY, 2018 DEFILE THE MAN MARK 7:20 "And He said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man." The outward appearance and neatness will not prevent a man from living a sinful lifestyle. And Christ Jesus informed His disciples that what constitutes defilement of the spirit (inner man) is not what a person puts into his/her mouth but what goes on in the heart, because what comes out of the mouth is the reflection of what is going on the heart. One great spiritual battle you must be desperate to seek to win is the battle of the heart because every act of sinful practices start from the heart, and once the inner strength to quench evil thought is weak and lacking, sin becomes inevitable. (Matt. 5:28). Friend, have you won the battle of the heart? Have you had or gain victory within? What kind of sins are you still struggling wi secretly? You must not be carried away with your outward appearance alone at the expense of your inner life. Real purity that generates spiritual power often emerges from the heart not from outward appearance.
