UNDERSTANDING HEART

DAILY GRACE SAT. 17TH FEB. 2018 UNDERSTANDING HEART 1 KINGS 3:12 "Behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you." Solomon obtained the favour of the Lord to the extend that God of all grace gave him an open cheque to ask Him anything. He was wise enough to ask for wisdom-the right and needful thing. If God gives you a blank cheque today, what exactly will you ask Him? Money, wife, husband, visa abroad, job, etc. Wisdom is the principal thing and it is only God that gives everyone that dare to ask Him (James 1:5-6). If Solomon had asked for more affluence, wealth, life of his enemies, and prestige from God, he might not be able to have all the other additions that God of all grace granted unto him as a result of the fact that he asked for wisdom and an understanding heart. These include; long life, honour, fame, etc. Wisdom comes whenever we ask the God of all grace and whenever we cultivate a honest and consistent fellowship with Him just like Solomon did (1 Kgs.3:10-11). This wise and understanding heart became evidently seen in the life of king Solomon as two harlots came to his palace for judgment and he judged correctly with God's wisdom. Beloved, dare to ask God of all grace the wisdom to live, handle affairs of your life and be all that He wants you to be. May God help you. Enjoy your day!!!
