QUENCH NOT THE SPIRIT

DAILY GRACE FRI.16TH MARCH, 2018 QUENCH NOT THE SPIRIT 1 THESS. 5: 19 "Do not quench the Spirit." Many have ignored and rejected divine counsel of the Lord several times, and it is time for absolute repentance from whatever gives room to quench the third person of the Trinity. In fact, many have quenched and bitterly mistreated Him via the word that proceeds out of their mouth and have also crucified Him in His own temple as they crucified the eternal Son on the hill above Jerusalem with the nails. It may not be of iron but of the finer and more precious stuff of which human life is made up of; that often flows out of your heart on how you take the refined metals of your self-will, feeling, ungodly thought, and harsh word; from them you fashion the nails of suspicion and rebellion and neglect. Friend, the most acceptable repentance is to reverse the acts, habits and attitudes that quench the flow of the Living water. You can best repent of your neglect by neglecting Him no more and begin to think of Him more as One to be worshipped and obeyed. Throw open every door of your life and invite Him to dine with you. Surrender totally not partially to Him, and insist that He enters and occupies as Lord and Master within His own dwelling abode.  Enjoy your day!!!
