BE OUR CAPTAIN

DAILY GRACE THURS. 17TH MAY, 2018 BE OUR CAPTAIN JUDGES 11:6 "And they said unto Jephthah, Come, and be our captain, that we may fight with the children of Ammon." Jephthah was initially regarded and treated as an outcast, rejected, hated and humiliated but God of all grace stood with him and granted him divine acceptance. They did not write or send a messenger to him, but went themselves to fetch him, resolving to have no denial of his relevance. Their errand to him was; "come! and be our commander." They knew none among themselves that was able to undertake that great task, but in effect confessed themselves unfit for it. They know him to be a bold man and inured to the sword, so therefore he must be the man. Beloved, see how the God of all grace prepared men for the service he designs them for, and makes their troubles work for their advancement. If Jephthah had not been put to his shifts by his brethren’s unkindness, he would not have had such occasion as this gave him to exercise and improve his martial genius, and so to become famous.  Out of the eater comes forth meat. An army without a general is like a body without a head. Friend, wherever you have been rejected before now, God of all grace shall grant you supernatural favour of acceptance in the name of Jesus Christ. Enjoy your day!!!
