DAILY GRACE TUES.19TH SEPT. 2017 WITHDRAW YOURSELF 2 1 TIMOTHY 6: 4 "....he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions" The doctrine of Christ Jesus is the doctrine according to godliness with a direct impact to make you live simply and humbly on earth here. But he that does not consent to the words of Christ is proud  and contentious, ignorant, and does a great deal of mischief to the church, knowing nothing. Commonly those who know least are the most proud, for with all their knowledge they do not know themselves—But obsessed about questions. Those who fall off from the plain practical doctrines of Christianity fall in with controversies, paganism which eat out the life and power of Christ; they are obsessed about questions and strifes of words, which do a great deal of mischief within the church, causing the occasion of envy, strife, railings and evil suspicions. Such men are not content with the words of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the doctrine which is according to godliness, but will frame notions of their own teaching and impose them in their own words, which man’s wisdom teaches, and not in the words which the Holy Ghost teaches (1 Cor. 2:13); they sow the seeds of all mischief in the church.
