MOUTH WITHOUT DECEIT

DAILY GRACE SUN. 3RD SEPT. 2017 MOUTH WITHOUT DECEIT 1 PETER 2:22 " Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth" Christ Jesus was given us as our perfect example, He suffered for us all and expects us to follow His footsteps. We are called into this hope as vocation. What a great grace; to live a life without sin and not a single guilt was found in His mouth. The example of Christ’s subjection and patience explained and amplified here is crucial for all that call upon the name of the Lord. Let's consider how He suffered for you. Christ suffered: 1.) Wrongfully, and without cause; for he did not sin. He had done no violence, no injustice or wrong to any one. He wrought no iniquity of any sort whatever; neither was guile found in His mouth (Isa. 53:9), His words, as well as His actions, were all sincere, just, and right. 2.) Patiently:  When He was reviled, He reviled not again towards the wrong doing against Him. As a believer, you must take a clue from His lifestyle. Trust the Holy Spirit to help you keep your mouth from evil speaking even when angry, evil gesting, gossips, lies, etc. Take counsel from Solomon here (Prov. 6:2). Hence, keep your mouth and thoughts from all evils, and dare to become like Him, as a man with mouth without deceit. Enjoy your day!
