TEST THE SPIRITS

DAILY GRACE TUES. 5TH SEPT. 2017 TEST THE SPIRITS 1 JOHN 4: 1 "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but test the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." The writer caution every believers in Christ Jesus about the spirits and spiritual professors that had now risen. "believe not every spirit" i.e regard not, trust not, follow not, every pretender to the Spirit of God, or every professor of vision, or inspiration, or revelation with a claim to be from God. Every pretender to the divine Spirit must be checkmate and not to be believed hastily. You must be ready to scrutinise and examine their claims that are laid to the Spirit because many false pastors, teachers, apostles, prophets, bishops are out these days speaking from their human spirits (Ezek 13:1-3), and lying spirits (2 Chro.18:21). God has given you His Spirit in these latter ages, the Spirit is meant to discern and distinguish from other spirits that speak to you through any man under the coat of Man of God (MOG). It should not seem strange to you that false teachers set themselves up in the church today, it was so in the apostles’ times, even the Lord warned them. (Matt. 24:23, 24). Friend, every man of God that speaks over your life must be moved by the Spirit to speak (2 Pt.1:21). Hence, test every prophecy with the Spirit of prophecy. Do not take prophecy hook line and sinker, but test the Spirit/spirit behind such prophecy so as not to be ensnared by the wrong spirit. Enjoy your day!
