TEXT: JEREMIAH 51:17
  
Beloved, trust your week was great and fulfilling. God will cause you to obtain unmerited favour all round this weekend and for the rest of this year in Jesus' name.
   "Everyone is dull-hearted, without knowledge; every metalsmith is put to shame by the carved image; for his molded image is falsehood, And there is no breath in them."
   God detests idolatry- the act of worshipping idols either in your heart or in the very act. God of all grace is the ONLY one to be honoured, worshipped, praised and adored in our heart, with our spirit, soul and body.
God says that those that worship idols are like them (Ps. 115:4-8).   

    Carved images are usually moulded or formed either from wood, metal, stone or any other substances. They are graven images, the handiwork of men, some are made of silver and some made of gold. They have mouth, but can not see, eyes have they but can not see. They also have ears but can not hear. Some are made with hands and legs but they can not move it. They can not talk at all. What a god!     A god that is lifeless and empty. For those that serve them are also like them. It is ONLY a stupid man that makes and worship such a god (Jer. 51:17-18). They are vanity, the works of error/delusion.
For they will perish with their worshippers in the time of God's visitation and judgement.                                  

 Beloved, are you a direct or indirect worshipper of these gods? If you still send money home for some traditional acts (the yam festival, ogun or osun festival, etc);
it simply means that you are an idolater and God is against you and this evil act. Confess and forsake this evil act and come sincerely to the Almighty God to be truly and totally be at peace with God. Forsake them and surrender to God, for He will abundantly pardon.
