GENEROSITY

DAILY GRACE
MON. 12TH SEPT. 2016
TOPIC: GENEROSITY
TEXT: PROVERBS 11:25

Happy new week to you. The Lord will lift up your head and make your life beautiful, fresh, and flourishing in Jesus' name.
"A generous person will prosper, whoever refreshes others will be refreshed". Prov. 11:25.
God's great act of generosity could be seen in His creations (the firmament, animals, seas, rivers, stars, moon, including man himself). Out of His abundant nature, He replicated Himself and made man in His own very image- what a great act of generosity to us, that we should be made in His majestic image (Prov. 19:1-4, Gen. 1:26)
God has also put into motion some spiritual laws and one of them is the *"law of generosity"*.

The law of generosity teaches us that whosoever sows shall surely reap (2Cor. 9:6). You can decide to sow sparingly or even generously, but always remember that you will be *rewarded accordingly* by God. Do not give by compulsion or reluctantly because the Lord who will surely reward you, needs you to do it cheerfully (2 Cor. 9:7). It is when you do this, that the reward will be blissful, rewarding and eternal.

Beloved, you need to realize that when you sow your seed, you have only partnered with God. Therefore, He will give you more seeds to sow and also bless you for the one you have sown (Isaiah. 55:10).
Believers must know that we can partner with Gods, with ALL that He has given us. This could be our time, life, talents/gifts, possession, resources, energy, counsel, money etc.
Hence, as a partner with God, you need to realise the two key principles to work with in order to help your understanding.
They are;
1. Principle of divine ownership: This teaches us that whatever we have or possess does not belong to us but to God (Ps. 24:1; 89:11, Job 41:11, 1 Chron. 29:10-14). God owes everything you have, He only made you a custodian of it.
2. Principles of stewardship: This teaches us that we are not the owners of whatever thing we have but we are mere stewards. This makes us to know that we will give account/stewards. Hence, we are to be faithful. (Matt. 25:14-30, 1 Cor. 4:1-2).
God holds everyone of us accountable for this special responsible of managing and  taking care of both the material and immaterial things.
If so you call yourself a believer after Christ and you want to be prosperous in life. One of the things to do is to be a generous giver. May God bless and help you to start being generous.
Enjoy your day!

Personal Confession: Lord God, my Father help me to be a generous giver in Jesus' name.

Read, Reflect and rebroadcast to bless someone. God will bless you in return.
