THE SPIRIT OF MIGHT

DAILY GRACE FRI. 26TH JAN, 2018 THE SPIRIT OF MIGHT ISAIAH 11:2 "And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him— The Spirit of might.........." The Spirit of might is given by the God of all grace. You must know that this is not about the physical or muscular strength or might of a man. It is such that comes from the supernatural empowerment of the Holy Ghost. Beloved, Prophet Zechariah also confirmed this truth! "This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the LORD of hosts." Hence, you must know that the kingdom of God is established by the power of the Holy Ghost (1Cor.4:20) not any other power. This might is not a military might, political power, or human strength. For none of these can accomplish the works of God, because by these shall no man prevail in life, and we can only do His work if we are empowered by the Holy Spirit (Judg.6:34). Christ Jesus entered His ministry in the power of the Holy Ghost (Lk. 4:1,18). The Church was also empowered by the Holy Spirit at Pentecost (Acts. 1:8. 2:4). For when the Holy Spirit comes, He comes with His power. You can not express His power if you are not empowered. There must be a continuous flow of the Holy Spirit's presence and power in your life in order to engage in an effective witness and service unto God while on earth.
