BRING IT TO SUBJECTION

DAILY GRACE WEDS.31ST JAN, 2018 BRING IT TO SUBJECTION 1COR. 9:27 "But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified." Holy fear of self inclinations is the best security against any apostasy from God of all grace, and final rejection by Him. The truth l had found out in life is that every advance that we make for God of all grace and for His cause must be made at our inconvenience. If it does not inconvenient us at all, there is no cross in it! You need to know that if you have been able to reduce spirituality to a smooth pattern and it costs you nothing—no disturbance, no pain, no bother and no element of sacrifice in it, honestly you're not getting anywhere with God, and at best results into mediocre Christians! Beloved, was there ever a cross that was convenient? Was there ever a convenient way to die? I have never heard of any, and judgment is not going to be a matter of convenience either! Perhaps, you look around for convenience, thinking you can reach the mountain peak conveniently and without trouble or some dangers to yourself. Actually, mountain climbers are always in peril and they are always advancing at their inconveniences.  You must be desperate to bring the Mr. Flesh to subjection, and discipline enough to take so much pains in subduing and keeping your body under it's inclinations, lest by any means you miss the crown of destiny, be disapproved and rejected by the Sovereign Lord.
