THE WAY OF LIFE

DAILY GRACE FRI. 10TH NOV. 2017 THE WAY OF LIFE JEREMIAH 21:8 "And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death." The God of all grace advised the people to surrender and desert to the Chaldeans, as the only means left for them to save their lives. Though, this counsel was very displeasing to those who were flattered by their false prophets into a desperate resolution to hold out to the last extremity, trusting to the strength of their walls and the courage of their strength to keep out the enemy. Behold, the way of life and the way of death, which denotes not, as that, a fair proposal but a melancholy dilemma, advising them of two evils to choose the less; and that less evil, a shameful and wretched captivity. John 14:6; Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. You must know that God does not want you to loose out eventually but to have life in Him. This life is what is obtainable in His Son Jesus Christ. Anyone who wants life must come to God through Jesus and anyone who comes to God through Jesus has this eternal life. The choice remains yours, you must choose between life and death as no one will choose for you but you must do for yourself.
