DAILY GRACE WEDS. 8TH NOV. 2017 HE WITHDREW HIMSELF LUKE 5:16 "And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed." There is so much to learn from the Lord in order to become like Him. No matter how tedious His public engagement looked like, yet He found time for pious and vout renewal. He often withdrew himself at the right time into the wilderness, and prayed; not that He needed to avoid either distraction or ostentation, but He set us an example to emulate, who needs to order the circumstances of our devotion daily so as to guard against distraction and disturbances. Friend, it is likewise important to apply wisdom to order your affairs so that your public work and your secret work may not intrench upon, nor interfere with one another. Secret prayer must be performed secretly; and those that ever have so much to do of the best business on this earth must keep up constant withdrawal from the crowd because he that dwells in the secret place of the Almighty shall abide under His shadow.
