THE OLD MAN

DAILY GRACE THURS. 23 NOV. 2017 THE OLD MAN COLOSIAN. 3: 5 "Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, inordinate passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry." There are many members that one must do away with in life, because they are associated with the old man that must be put to death before you can fulfil your destiny in life. Quite a lot of people today trying to get away with the old man. What do I mean by the old man? I mean your pride, your bossiness, your nastiness, your bad temper, your mean disposition, your lustfulness and your quarrelsomeness. What do I mean dear minister, I mean your hunting for the position of others. Friends, what do I mean? I mean sitting around in board meetings wearing and tearing that your poor colleague out, because you are too stubborn to humble yourself and admit you are wrong. I also mean that demeanor that makes you hate somebody that can sing a little better than you can. That jealousy that makes you want to pretend to be who you are not. And all of these may be under the guise of spirituality and you may have learned to put your head over on one side, fold your hands and put on a fake or deceitful smile towards others. These acts of fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil desire, and covetousness can become real idolatry establish by the old man. So, you MUST do away with them. Enjoy your day!
