HOPE OF HIS CALLING

DAILY GRACE FRI. 16TH DEC, 2016 TOPIC: HOPE OF HIS CALLING TEXT: EPHESIANS 1:17 Welcome to a flourishing weekend for you. May the eyes of your understanding be opened to see the things ordained for your destiny and launch into it in Jesus' name. "The eyes of your understanding being enlightened that you may know what is the hope of His calling and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints." God wants His people to be full of wisdom and to possess a thorough revelation of who Christ is. No wonder He says that it is lack and rejection of knowledge that makes His own people to perish. Hence, He wants us to be full of great wisdom and a divine revelation of who He really is. Apostle Paul cried out; that l may know Him in a better, intimate, deep, great, cordial way much more than l used to know him. He wanted to know Him in a new dimension than ever (Phil. 3:10). Beloved, may the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, grant you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him in Jesus name (Eph. 1:17). What is the hope of Christ calling? Jesus called everyone to Himself. His call to us, is a holy calling and He has foreordained and predestined from the beginning, even as He so wish (Rom. 8:28-29) We have been called according to His divine purpose. Some of the hope of His calling are listed below; 1.) To be conformed to the image of Christ (8:29) 2.) Rest (Matt. 11:28) Jesus said, come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. 3.) Divine sonship: The Lord adopts us as His sons and daughters as soon as we give our lives to Him (John 1:12, 2 Cor. 6:18, Rom. 8:15-18) 4.) Redemption from curses (Gal. 4:5). 5.) Freedom from slavery of sin and eternal loss (Rom. 6:14) 6.) To receive the promise of the Holy Spirit (Gal. 4:6, John 14:26). 7.) Eternal life (John 3:16). You are not miserable of all men, if Christ dwells in you. 8.) The hope of Christ's calling is the Christ in you-which is the hope of glory (Col 1:27). Friend, l pray for you that your spiritual eyes will be opened to see and understand the hope of His calling in Jesus' name. Enjoy your day!
