FEAR NOT

DAILY GRACE WEDS. 21ST DEC, 2016 TOPIC: FEAR NOT TEXT: LUKE 1: 13 Top of a new day to you. All your pending petitions unto God of all grace shall be granted before this year ends in Jesus' name. "But the angel said to him, "Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John". The Lord sent an Angel to deliver a message to Zachariah. He began his message with, Fear not. Perhaps it had never been Zachariah's lot to burn incense before; and, being a very serious conscientious man, we may suppose him full of care to do it well, and when he saw the angel he was afraid lest he came to rebuke him for some mistake or miscarriage; “No,” saith the angel, “fear not; I have no ill tidings to bring you from heaven. Fear not, but compose yourself, that you may with even your spirit receive the message I have to deliver you. Let us see what that is as we look deeply into the scripture. 1.) The prayers he has often made shall now receive an answer of peace: Fear not, Zachariah, for your prayer is heard. If he meant his particular prayer for a son to build up his family, it must be the prayers he had formerly made for mercy, when he was likely to have children but we may suppose, now that he and his wife were both well stricken in years. But God will now, in giving this mercy, look a great way back to the prayers that he had made long since for and with his wife, as Isaac for and with his wife (Gen. 25:21). 2.) Prayers of faith are filed and honor in heaven, and are not forgotten, though the thing prayed for is not presently given in. Come to think of it this way that prayers made when we were young and coming into the world may be answered when we are old and going out of the world. And If he means the prayers he was now making, and offering up with his incense, we may suppose that those were according to the duty of his place, for the Israel and their welfare, and the performance of the promises made to them concerning the Messiah and the coming of His kingdom. The Angel said this prayer of yours is now heard, for your wife shall shortly conceive him that is to be the Messiah’s forerunner. (3.) Generally, the prayers you now made, and all your prayers, are accepted of God, and come up for a memorial before Him just as the angel said to Cornelius, when he visited him at prayer( Acts 10:30, 31) and this shall be the sign that thou are accepted of God, Elisabeth shall bear you a son. Praying people or believers in Christ should know that their prayers are heard and those mercies are doubly sweet that are given in answer to their prayers. Friend, l want to announce to you that you should not be afraid, and all your hanging and pending petitions before now shall receive divine attention from the God of all grace. Just exhibit more patient, and trust in Him, and in due season, your testimonies shall daze your enemies in Jesus name. Enjoy your day!
