TOPIC: TAKE NO THOUGHT 2
TEXT: LUKE 12:22
 
Welcome to a glorious Sunday and l pray That in this new week, you will receive the grâce not to take thought of your life in Jesus name.
Today, by the grâce of God, we'll continue on the exposition of reasons why we should not take thought of our lives:
From our text in verse 27, Jesus pointed His disciples attention to the lilies. The lilies are handsome flowering plants of several genera having resemblance in colour. Jesus said to his disciples,   "Consider the lilies,
i) how they grow 
 (ii)they toil not       
 (iii)they spin not;  
  (iv) yet Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these".       
        
  Take a look at the features of thèse lilies above, Jesus said as wealthy, honourable and Wise as Solomon was, He was not beautifully decorated like this Lilles. Wao! What a mystery, for God is the One who beautifies thèse lilies that way. So, have You thought within yourself that if God can do that to an inanimate thing, how much more You made in the image of God Himself (Gen. 1:26).  Just take a look at verse 28 of our text. It says, "If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?             
    You see beloved, I realise that it is your lack of faith that makes you doubt the power of God to cater for all your needs and you then think worrying about it or thinking about it, is what will bring the solution. No!    
Beloved, Jesus said   something insightful,that instead of taking thought, we should;
(a) Not seek what we shall eat or                 
 (b)what we shall drink                      
 (c) neither be ye of a doubtful mind (James 1:6-8).        
 (d) seek ye the kingdom of God;  and all these things shall be added unto you (Matt 6:33)                      
e) Fear not, little flock.
Why? for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Not Just that little thing You ask of Him, but even the entire kingdom. For every good and perfect gifts come from God (James 1: 17). Halleluyah, Glory!!!
