TOPIC: COSTLY OIL
TEXT: JOHN 12: 3

There shall be no stagnation for you, I decree that every rough ways before you today shall be made smooth in the name of Jesus Christ.
Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and ........
It is the deepest point of expression of the innate emotions, act of great sacrifice, loving devotion and thoughts that words can not express.
Mary in the above text, epitomizes one who has been captured and captivated by the Love of the beloved Master - the perfect love that casts out fear (IJohn 4:18).
 She could find nothing else to express her depth of love than with her very costly oil - bought with a fortune and very expensive, her all with nothing more left. Wiped the Master's feet with her hair - the glory of a woman. All for the Master!
After encountering Jesus- the man of calvary, in the raising back to life of her brother Lazarus, to the glory of the Lord, she became captivated and she could find no other way to express her profound love to the Master than to submit all that makes her who she is to the Lord. No more shame. No more pain. No more pride. All left at the feet of the Master but love remaining.
Friends, the Lord delights in you being captured and captivated by His perfect love. Heaven will be full only of lovely people. Those who have accepted the love of the Master and have  surrendered their lives to the Lord. Many times the Lord has come knocking the door of your heart, arranging encounters with you, but you kept postponing, thinking there will be another chance. Please grab the opportunity today before it's too late. The marriage of the lamb is fast approaching. Don't be like the foolish virgins who were postponing the time for responding to crucial matter of getting set for the arrival of the groom. Today is the day of salvation!
I perceive Mary knew that her opportunity to express loving and deep devotion to Jesus Christ would soon be over, so she took the opportunity she had.
Take Opportunity Now!
Even her faith in Christ and deep devotion to the Lord is the highest model of what God desires from every believers, and Jesus reiterated that her act of love will be mentioned wherever the gospel is preached (Mat.26: 13).

Personal Confession: Oh Lord, capture my heart today to express my loving devotion unto you in Jesus name.
