DAILY GRACE
SAT. 5TH MARCH 2016
TOPIC: TAKE NO THOUGHT 1
TEXT: LUKE 12:22
 
Happy weekend to you. I believe God that He will perfect all that concerns you and give you all round testimonies.
By the grace of God, today God has an instruction to give to us for our upliftment and movement to the next level.  
  
From our main text , Jesus said to His disciples that, "Therefore, I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on".   
 "Take no thought" is the instruction!
It means you should not even allow the thought of your life to occupy your heart to replace Him; what you are to drink, eat, wear or anything whatsoever, etc.
 You might be thinking in your heart that, well l have not done it, nor acted on any of these things in anyway. You are very right! But, Jesus said, do not entertain the thought of any of those. You may ask why?

So many reasons were given even by Jesus Himself. Some of the things He said were;
(1) The life (which we live) is more than meat. For our live is hidden in Christ Jesus (Col. 3:3)                  
    (2) The body is more than raiment. Our body is much more than the clothe we put upon. For our body is the temple of the living God (2 Cor. 6:16)                
 (3) Consider the ravens. Things to know about these ravens:
 (a) for they neither sow nor reap. But you do sow and reap.
b) they do not have storehouse nor barn still God feeds them(can you imagine that). You have storehouses, even bank accounts and various investments.
 Other reasons you should take no thought for your life is that;
 (4) you are much more better than the fowls or ravens. For you are made in the image of God Himself. A replica of Yahweh God (Gen. 1:26, Ps. 82:6).                        
  (5) By taking thought, you can't add one cubit to your stature. This is because even if you think of doing so, only God can decide to approve of it (Pro. 16:1).  
(6.) The life of a man is not determined by abundance of his possessions.(Luke 12:15)      
  
 Beloved, You will do well by not taking thought of your life by handling over your life in totality to God.
