GOD LEFT HIM
2 CHRON. 32:31
"Howbeit in the business of the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to enquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart."
Have you thought of the reason why God of all grace withdrew from Hezekiah?
Having observed that after Hezekiah was healed of his sickness by the power of the Lord, he became proud in heart, life and character. When an ambassador came to inquire about his miraculous healing, God of all grace stepped back to see how he would respond. Unfortunately, his actions revealed his runaway pride, and he pointed to his own accomplishments rather than to God's (2 Kgs. 20:12-19).
Friend, pride is any attitude that elevate your effort or abilities above God's power. It treats with disdain His work in you, and causes you to congratulate yourself for your success and to look down on other people. God of all grace does not object to self confidence, healthy self-esteem or good feelings about your achievements in life. God often detest a foolish attitude of taking credit for what He has done or for setting up yourself as being superior to others.
May the Lord help you to walk with Him in wisdom, knowledge and understanding of humility unto Him. His presence will not be far from you in Jesus' name.
Enjoy your day!!!
Personal Confession: Lord Jesus, envelope me with fresh grace for humility in Jesus' name.
Read, Reflect and Rebroadcast to bless others.
