UNEQUAL YOKE

DAILY GRACE SUN.19TH AUG, 2018 UNEQUAL YOKE 2 CORINTHIANS 6:14 "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?" Marriage itself is a yoke i.e it has a spiritual bond between two people in marital agreement. One of the reasons God ordains it so, is that there will be commitment on the part of both people in marital union for the fulfilment of their marital destiny. However, there's a trend lately when you see 'christians' marrying unbelievers of various category. This is NOT the will of the Father. This is an unequal yoke as far as God of all grace is concerned. To be a believer is to be one in words and actions. Jesus said by this shall men know that you are my disciples, when you keep my commandments. You can't claim to be a Christian when your life and action is not being guided by the dictates of the word of God. Do not be yoked unequally with an unbeliever because you do not serve the same God, nor approach God same way, you have different guiding principles and beliefs. The practice of faith contradict largely. There is in fact no communion between light (you) and unbeliever. If you do, you compromise your light and turn it to darkness. Beloved, God if all grace wants a holy seed from your union but once you compromise, you can not have a holy breed. Beware and ensure you are being guided by the word of God through the dictates of His Spirit. It takes those that really knows their God to be strong and act according to the His will. Otherwise, you are merely religious and religion can never save any man but imprison into more darkness. Enjoy your day!!!
