REBUKE OF THE WISE

DAILY GRACE THURS. 26TH APRIL, 2018 REBUKE OF THE WISE ECCLESIASTES 7:5 "It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools." The rebuke of the wise may be bitter, but it is much better to have our corruption mortified by it than to have them gratified by the song of fools. Many that would be very well pleased to hear the counsel of the wise and much more to have their commendations and consolations, yet do not care for hearing their rebukes; that is, care not for being told of their faults. Though ever so wisely; but therein they are no friends to themselves, for reproofs of instruction are the way of life (Prov. 6:23), and though they be not so pleasant as the song of fools. To hear, not only with patience, but with pleasure. Friend, the rebuke of the wise is a sign and means of wisdom; but to be fond of the song of fools is a sign that the mind is vain and is the way to make it more so. And what an absurd thing is it for a man to dote so much upon such a transient pleasure as the laughter of a fool is noisy and flashy, and is not an instance of true joy. This is also vanity; it deceives men to their destruction. DAILY GRACE TUES. 24TH APRIL, 2018 KEEP HIS COMMANDMENT 1JOHN 3:22 "And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight." The major cause of unanswered prayers is failure of the saint to keep His commandments. Whenever you go to God of all grace with a request that He modifies the existing situation for you, that is, that He should answer your prayer request; there are two conditions that you must meet. They are; (1) You must pray in the will of God of all grace. To pray with confidence, you must be certain that your request falls within the broad will of God for your purpose. (2) You must be on "praying ground"; that is, you must be living a pleasing life to God of all grace. The condition here is also very important. God has not placed Himself under obligation to honor the requests of worldly, carnal or disobedient Christians. He hears and answers the prayers of only those who walk in His way not those who know His act. Friend, without maintaining a strict adherent to the above points, you can not secure an express answer from the throne of grace, and it is futile to beg the God of all grace to act contrary to His revealed purposes. The Sovereign Lord who redeemed Abraham also redeems every of His creature (mankind) to Himself through the blood of His only begotten Son. He made the provision of His redemption for many reasons; some of which are to make us become like His Son, take away our sins, and all our fears and shame. No more fear nor shame, fear does not exist in perfect love and as far as all the children of God are concerned. The God of all grace travelled with His children (the Israelites) even through their rough, smooth, dry and wet seasons. He also felt their pains, affliction and sufferings of all sort even as they passed through the wilderness experience. He never left them alone to themselves but personally rescued them because they were His chosen one whom He delights in. The same God has redeemed everyone who received His Son as Lord and Saviour to Himself through the precious blood of His Son, you can take hold of it by acknowledging this great work. Many mission organizations have been promised by Christians to give their support, and many believers who made the promise to give often fail to follow through.This failure often poses negative effects on those ministries. Friend, a person that promises a gift but doesn't give it is like clouds and wind that bring no rain at all. DAILY GRACE TUES.17TH APRIL, 2018 AVOID DISTRACTIONS MATTHEW 6:6 "But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly." Among the enemies to personal devotion none is so harmful as distractions. Whatever excites the curiosity, scatters the thoughts, disquiets the heart, absorbs the interests or that shifts our life's focus from the kingdom of God within us to the world around us—it is called distraction; and our world is full of them. The remedy for distractions is the same now as it was in earlier and simpler times, viz., prayer, meditation and the cultivation of the inner life. The Psalmist said "Be still, and know," and Christ told us to enter into our closet, shut the door and pray unto the Father. Friend, let me submit to you that the distractions must be conquered or they will conquer you from inside-out. Though, it's certainly harder and harder to shut out the distractions of an increasingly science-based civilization. Thus, dare to cultivate simplicity, be desperate to walk in the Spirit, fill your mind with the Word of grace and your heart with praise. Nehemiah was another great follower of God, he was zealous for the house of the Lord his God and the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem. He was not happy to see Jerusalem lie in waste and this propelled him to pray to the God of heaven to grant him favour in the sight of the King. The way-wardness of the simple makes them turn away from God of all grace, and such act will eventually slay them because of pride: they are now proud of their own security and sensuality. Also, the ease of the fools shall help to destroy them without remedy via puffing them up with pride, gluing their hearts to the world, furnishing them with fuel for their lusts and hardening their hearts in evil ways. DAILY GRACE MON. 9TH APRIL, 2018 COSTLY GRACE TITUS 2:11 "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men" Let's continue from where we stopped yesterday on the series of the grace that saved us. The grace that saved us is a costly one. It cost the Son of God His blood and life but it is a perfect one that makes us holy, righteous, blameless and spotless before God of all grace. This is a grace with discipleship with the Lord. This grace teaches believers to do the following; 1.) Deny All Ungodliness: Strive to live a godly life as opposed to ungodly life as one who has truly received the costly grace. It pays to stay and live godly! 2.) Deny Worldly Lust: intentionally do away with all lusts. Be it lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and all pride of life. This entails all the works of the flesh.(Gal 5:19) 3.) Live Soberly: You're designed by God of all grace to live a simple and modest life everywhere and at all times via this grace. 4.) Live Righteously: Through Christ's righteousness, believers are made righteous before God of all grace and that also establishes your right standing with Him. You must pay the price for holiness without compromise. 5.) Live Godly: Live your life with focus of becoming like Him, because you are gods and also son of the Most High. Friend, the costly grace is available and sufficient for all believers in Christ Jesus alone, and through this grace, you're no longer permitted to live for "self" anymore but for Him (Gal.2:20). DAILY GRACE SUN. 8TH APRIL, 2018 CHEAP GRACE ROMANS 6:1 "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?" Cheap grace can help no man! This is the major challenge in Christendom today, whereby erroneous message of cheap grace are flying up and down. Apostle Paul asked the Romans believers "if they can continue in sin and still says grace should abound"? The cheap grace is costless grace, grace without discipleship with the Lord, that often says grace is available, grace covers all our sins and then still continue to live in sinful practices, secret and kingdom immoralities of all kinds. Beloved, God of all grace is not interested in believers who continue in their old ways of life yet claiming to be born again, they are truly born against indeed! This tendency of living in deception will take no man anywhere and it will only make such a man less than who God intended him to become in life. Christ Jesus died once for all the sins of mankind and set us free totally from the power of sins. Receiving grace through His death is not a yardstick or standard to continue to sin. DAILY GRACE SAT. 7TH APRIL, 2018 NO MORE SACRIFICE HEBREWS 10:26 "For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins" Glory be to God of all grace in the highest and also to the Son of God who is the Mediator between us and God of all grace. He also became the lasting overall sacrifice for the sins of mankind. What a great love to humanity! The only authentic and potent sacrifice for sin is the blood of Christ Jesus. His blood did a complete work of grace on the cross for all and sundry. There's no other blood that can cleanse away sins or that can ever cleanse away sins and make guiltless and present man righteous after the washing away of sins; except the potent, sinless, perfect and authentic blood of Jesus. It's a taboo to go back willingly to the old way of sinful practices after the blood of Jesus has been shed and done a complete work of cleansing, purging and total forgiveness from God. It is like nailing the Son of God to the cross again. Beloved, there's no other remission for sins now and even in the world to come, except the total work that Jesus did on the cross. R After the Lord had informed His disciples that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, creatures, and tribe beginning at Jerusalem. He thus further reminded them that they were witnesses of these things. What are these things? They are the composition of how the Lord Jesus Christ had suffered, died and resurrected on the third day. How He became the lamb of God of all grace for the redemption of humanity, and by the reason of this perfect sacrifice, all believers in Christ Jesus automatically become a living witness of the truth of His death and resurrection. Beloved, you must know that God of all grace has not delegated the work of evangelism to any expert or professionals but you that has been truly saved should rise to stand as witness to others who are already in gross darkness. Any failure to heed this singular instruction to be a witness unto these things may not qualify to receive the crown of glory or soul winning. DAILY GRACE THURS. 5TH APRIL, 2018 THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD MARK 16: 19 "So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God." The positional truth as regards to where every believer in Christ Jesus is standing is the right hand of God of all grace. After He had spoken to His disciples, He was then received from their sight to sit at His prepared position. The right hand of God is the reserved place for all that is genuinely walking in and with Christ Jesus. Just as we have the right hand side, we also have the left hand side! The right hand side is where Jesus Christ is now seated after resurrection, and this similar position is also reserved for all that is living with eternity in view. While the left hand is meant for those who is disobedient, full of unbelief, the liars, fearful, and unfaithful etc. (Matt. 25: 33-46) Beloved, you must be desperate to decide which of the position you will eventually end up with because without repentance and remission of your sinful lifestyle you can not maintain this position with Him. The wonderful work of His goodness: God is good as a result of His wonderful act to you and your loved one. 2.) The wonderful work of mercy: This is very obvious, and via this you we're not consume by your enemy, and His compassion fail not over you and your households. 3.) The wonderful work of deliverance: The deliverance from sin, and Satan tricks can not be ignored. Also, deliverance from dryness, distresses, darkness, and untimely death. 4.) The wonderful work of provision: God of all grace has never ceased in constant provision of peace, protection, prosperity and His presence and power in your life. His provision to satisfy the longing of your soul can not be quantified. 5.) The wonderful work of redemption: He redeemed you from the hand of the enemy of your soul and destiny in Christ Jesus. DAILY GRACE MON.2ND APRIL, 2018 RAISED WITH HIM COLOSSIANS 2: 12 "Buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead." Glory be to God of all grace, praise be unto His name for the victory granted through the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Buried with Christ as the object of our victory and faith in God of all grace is a very significant metaphor. As a believer in Christ, you are buried with Christ in baptism when He died, and also risen with Him in faith. Don't forget that baptism remind you of your union with the Christ Jesus in His death and resurrection by which you receive the power of God of all grace to live a new creation life. The celebration of Easter will not be meaningful in your life until you bring the impact of being buried with Him and raised with Him into practice by knowing and acknowledging that you must bury your old life of sin, and rise up to a new life of purity, purpose, and power. God of all grace is the God of the living, and it's a great news both to the alienated (the lost) and the saved ones; to know that we serve a living God. The All-sufficient, faithful and Ever living God. The compassionate and ever loving God that gave His only begotten Son to die for the sins of mankind (including your own sins). This is why Christ Jesus came to die, He gave his life as a ransom for your sins. For without the shedding of blood, there's no remission for sins. This is the reason for His death on the Cross. But hear the good news! He is no longer in the grave; He is risen and was seen by many after His resurrection. Many proofs abide to this truth that He lives and even still make intercession for us. Beloved, there's a resurrection morning coming soon, when Christ Jesus will raise all those who died has believers first, and the living believers will be caught up in the sky to meet with Jesus (rapture).
