TAKE HEED TO HIS WORDS

DAILY GRACE
SAT. 9TH JULY, 2016
TOPIC: TAKE HEED TO HIS WORDS 
TEXT: Ps 119:9

This is the day the Lord has made for you, rejoice and be glad in it in Jesus name.
Our text today says "Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word."
 It is a simple question to everyone of us and the answer is also in the same verse of the scripture. If l may ask you that how best do you think you can keep your way in order to please God?
Maybe you will be saying; by giving alms, having compassion on the needy, obeying some sets of rules and regulations and all. But, the simple answer is for you to take heed to the word of God.
To take heed to His words means that you;
a) pay close attention to His words of His grace.             
  b) Observe all that is written in the word of God
c) have the fear of the Lord in your heart.  
d) Love the Lord with all of your spirit, soul and mind. It is by doing this that you cleanse your way before God. Then, you will be able to appear with boldness in God's presence without any form of fear in your heart.
 Friend, you might be saying that "l am not a  young man, am now old". The "young man" used in that Bible verse talks about every child of God that is
a) young at heart.
b) you still aspire to live more years on earth.
c) you could either be young or old chronologically
 d) you still have destiny to fulfill.
       No matter the category you fall into, the only way you can keep or cleanse your way is to take heed to the Word of God, and taking heed of His word of grace will prepare and preserve you for eternity. May God depend on you.
