Happy glorious Sunday to you beloved. You will not be stranded in life in Jesus name.
As will continue from where we paused yesterday.   
    
6. spirit of equality with the authority figure in her life:
 Apart from the fact that the king was her husband, he was also a voice over 127 provinces and all people in these provinces pay homage to him.
She has forgotten that she is only relevant as long as her husband remains a king. Otherwise, she can't be called a queen. But, she also wanted to claim equality with the king to the extent that she also gave a banquet for women in the royal palace. (Vs. 8-9.)                            Had it been that she had obeyed her husband, the king, she would have gained respect throughout the whole empire, the wives of the land and king's nobles would have accrued more respect unto her.
 She would have mentored a lot of wives correctly on how well to behave as a wife under a husband even though she is highly placed. But, it's a pity that she was deposed and replaced with a lesser person to her (a dignified slave-Esther).
Queen Vashti was supposed to represent the following in the whole empire;   
1. She was a wife and queen at the same time. She was to be a voice to the whole women of the land. Vs. 9.    
2. She represents an icon, a figure to imitate and a model for all the wives in whole 127 provinces.     
3. She was to be a godly example to all women who are highly placed in the society, who are also wives at the same time. She was to show total humility, total submission as a wife to her husband, even in the public.                          
4. she also represents an epitome of beauty to everyone in the land, more reason the king wanted to take the honour of being her husband.  
              
Beloved, you need to examine yourself to know if the spirit of Vashti has taken you over subtly. It is a dangerous spirit that takes one away from ones place of honour and dignity. Beware!!!

Personal Confession: Oh Lord, remove the spirit of Vashti from my life in Jesus' name.
