A PROPHET AMONG YOU

DAILY GRACE THURS. 28TH DEC, 2017 A PROPHET AMONG YOU DEUTERONOMY 18:18 "I will raise up a prophet from among their countrymen like you, and I will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command him." This is the promise of God to the Israelites, when they were afraid of hearing God face to face. They all told Moses to tell God to speak to them via Moses, so he can relate whatever God wanted to speak to them to them after he has heard from God. This was why God answered and told Moses that He will raise a prophet from among the people whom they are all to listen to. This prophet will not speak of His own but speak as God of all grace gives Him utterance. Anyone who fails to listen to God via this prophet; God Himself will judge. Deut. 18:19. This is talking about Jesus, a prophet who will be raised from amongst the Hebrews. He is to be the ONLY mediator between us and God, just the same way Moses was an intermediary between God and the people. No wonder, He said; "i am the way, the truth and the life. Beloved, are you saved or not? Do you ensure you do all that Jesus bids you to do all the time? There lies your safety and joy, any attempt to disobey God means that you will face the consequences from God. Enjoy your day!
