PUT OFF YOUR OLD MAN 2

DAILY GRACE THURS. 29TH JUNE, 2017 PUT OFF TOUR OLD MAN 2 EPHESIANS 4:22 "You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires" Beloved, let me share some ingredients needed to keep your spiritual life growing and ablaze for God of all grace: 1.) Your Personal Prayer Life. You are to pray daily and personally. Take note of the following things about your personal prayer life, a) Set a prayer time on daily basis. b) Make prayer a habit and always pray in the name of Jesus Christ to the Father. c) Make it the time that you are totally free from every other demands of life (sleeping,gisting, cooking, bodily exercise, sweeping, etc). Even though you can pray while doing those things, yet your particular prayer time must not be crowded and hampered. Mark 1:35. d) Make it regular and consistent, don't wait until you have special program in church before you pray. e) Be definite in your request to God and believe that you already have answers (Mark 10:46-52, 11:24). You can not enjoy Christianity with a consistent personal prayer life. 2.) Your Personal Bible Study Life: Apart from the fact that you attend Bible study in the church, you need to engage in personal study of the Word as to know the Lord more intimately and to also grow in Him. 2 Pet. 2:2 Without addiction to the Word of His grace, you can not be empower for exploit. 3) Fasting: You must ensure that you fast frequently/occasionally. This is different from the corporate fasting in the church but it should serve as the means of cleansing, purging and a means to dedicate and deny yourself the pleasure of food. This spiritual exercise is not negotiable for you to become like Him. 4.) Walk With the Holy Spirit: Learn to walk with the Spirit of grace and truth. Only those that have surrendered to Christ Jesus and then willing to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit are really the children of God of all grace. Enjoy your day!
