DAILY GRACE FRI.19TH MAY, 2017 THE FALSE TEACHER 3 MATT 24:24 The God of all grace will keep you from all satanic deceptions and cause you to be divinely allergic to false teachings in Jesus' name. "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect". Except the Sovereign God of all grace helps us to be divinely sanitized and allergic to false teachings, we will not escape the subtle influence in and toward us and this is why you must allow the Holy Spirit to prepare, equip and transform you. However, you must be willing to follow His leadings. The following steps will help believers in Christ Jesus to be able to identify false teachers: A.) Discern their Character/fruit: For by their fruit you will know them. Check out for the fruit of righteousness in them. (Gal. 5:22-22, Heb.1:9). B.) Discern their motives: Be watchful and aware that false teachers will NOT have the following characteristics, (i.) Honour Christ (2 Cor. 8:23, Phil.1:20). (ii.) Lead the Church into sanctification (Acts 26:18, 1 Cor. 6:18, 2 Cor. 6:16-18) (iii.) Seek to save the lost (1 Cor 9:19-22) (iv.) Proclaim and defend the gospel of Christ (Phil. 1:16, Jude 3). C.) Test the fruit in their lives with their message. Always check if they are doers of all they preach or teach (Matt. 7:16). D.) Discern their level of reliance upon the Scripture (2 John 9-11). False teacher rely more often on philosophy, psychology than the scripture. E.) Check Financial Integrity and consistency with New Testament standard for leaders in the kingdom (1 Tim. 3:3, 6:9-10) Friend, you must note that after discovering their false motive and fruit/characteristics, you must mark the false teachers in your heart and avoid their sayings and teachings from penetrating into your heart. This decision will save your soul from immediate and eternal damnation. May God help you and strengthen your heart. Enjoy your day.!
